The Centre Stage calendar

St Agatha's parish is the place of worship for a community of 1400 families. The number of families in the deanery is estimated to be close to 10,000.

Centre Stage is a series of faith development events aimed at adults, young and old. Broadly around 'spirituality in the arts', it was formulated on three questions:

• Is all the world a stage and we are merely players?
• Or is something written in our hearts, known and read by all?
• Are the sacred and the secular that far apart?

The format for the series is 3 major events and 3 minor events.

Two of the major events have been booked. Major events will be held in February, June and possibly September or October.

For the major events, the headline guests will be 'high profile' for their area of expertise.

Minor events will cover such topics as: church iconography, expression of spirituality in sculpture and painting by various local experts. It is anticipated these events will be held in April, July and November
